A Medieval Christmas
A CD is born
Sospiri have released their first CD for the classical music label The Gift of Music. Tracks include favourites like Gaudete, Coventry Carol and There is no Rose, as well as lesser know works such as the sublime Sanctus setting by Lionel Power and the exquisite sequence Virga ac diadema by Hildegard of Bingen. Interspersed with these vocal works are some new arrangements of traditional Christmas melodies on pipes, hurdy-gurdy and recorder.
